One of the most beautiful Pacific class steam engines build in Germany was the Bavarian S3/6. Later they became part of the class 18 for Deutsche Reichsbahn and served even after the 2nd World War for the Deutsche Bundesbahn. Famous for pulling the luxury train Rheingold as well as loved by their crews and maintenance personnel, the S3/6 was a well rounded fast passenger locomotive.
