Calgary Women Cultural Association

Calgary women cultural Association organised zoom meeting on Dec 2020. It was unique experience for the members. Thirty-three members participated in this meeting on their phones. All were excited seeing each other after nearly ten months. Gurcharan Thind hosted the meeting and Gurdish Grewal conducted it. Balwinder Brar wished them all the best and prayed that new year bring hopes and happiness for everyone. All present members expressed their views and emotions about being isolated for such a long time due to Carona, with heavy heart. Association pledged its support to farmers struggle in Dehli. The most encouraging thing was that all senior ladies, not well acquainted with technology, were present in this meeting with the help of their children or grandchildren. It was appreciative moment of healthy relationships in our community.

Calgary Women Cultural Association is awarded for its valuable contribution of hand-sewn cloth bags and masks with collaboration of One Voice Canada. Thanks to my respected members Mukhtiar Dhaliwal, Surjit Saran, Sarbjit Uppal, Sharnjit Sidhu and Baljinder Gill who gave their time and efforts for this work.
