#WhyWednesday Did you know you can perform an emergency baptism? Catholics believe that anyone can baptize in an emergency situation (such as a car crash). Any person, Catholic or not, can pour the water and say the words. The only requirement is to follow the wishes of the person you are baptizing.

#WhyWednesday Did you know that the solemnity of Pentecost is the birthday of the Church? Pentecost is always celebrated 50 days after Easter and we celebrate the gift and power of the Holy Spirit who anointed all the apostles and gave them the courage to preach the Gospel to the nations. All Catholics are given the gift of the Holy Spirit at Baptism and it is strengthened in the sacrament of Confirmation. We are all encouraged to "stir into flame this gift of God given to us" so we can live and share the gift of Jesus with everyone.

Our next Parent & Trustee Forum will be held online Tuesday, November 24 from 7-9 p.m. Guest speaker Joyce Sunada will present on wellness and trustees will provide updates. There will also be opportunity for questions. We'll share Zoom session details closer to the event.
