We would like to update you on our current situation. Apparently we are too late with all necessary applications and permissions for the Christmas Market 2016 so we decided to postpone our event to next year. It seems like we caught the interest of far more prospective vendors than expected what made us rethink about the planned location at Eau Claire Festival Market. Right now we are looking for a bigger and more suitable venue for 2017. Your recommendations are more than welcome!

For the first time, Calgary will host a traditional outdoor old-style European Christmas market in the heart of downtown in Eau Claire. The market takes place from November 25 December 23, from noon 9pm. Our vision is to create a romantic European Christmas atmosphere for the whole family right here in Calgary. Christmas lights, the smell of sweets and hot chocolate, the sound of choirs and festive music will bring a unique European flavour for all to enjoy. Kids will lov...e the petting zoo and the play tent, while their parents immerse themselves in a truly cultural experience. During the week, we expect office workers dropping in for a quick lunch, enjoying the unique Christmas market ambiance and delicious European dishes. Many will use the opportunity to purchase last minute Christmas gifts for their loved ones. Traditional mulled wine (Gluehwein) will be on offer. Small businesses and groups will have the opportunity to hire the heated tent for Christmas office parties for up to 40 people. The Calgary Christmas Market will be a four-week outdoor event in a beautiful and easy accessible inner city setting. At the busiest time of the year, we offer a relaxing shopping and entertainment venue where families can spend quality time together and at the same time learn interesting facts about European Christmas traditions.
