Bill C-7 seeks to expand access to assisted suicide and euthanasia in Canada, extending provision of euthanasia and assisted suicide to those who are not dying, and placing vulnerable citizens such as persons with disabilities and mental illness at serious risk. Contact your Member of Parliament and give voice to the voiceless. Act now! Today is #RedWednesday! Even in times of a pandemic, we need to be reminded that anti-religious violence, and especially the persecution of Christians, is still as present as it was last year. In fact, 327 million Christians live in a country where there is persecution and / or discrimination, and many are subjected to persecution on a daily basis. Please pray these intentions today: #CatholicYYC #iamblessed2020 #swipeandpray

Jesus is King, but not the kind of king people expect. He is King of those who suffer, King of the lowly and the least, King over death. Jesus is abundantly clear in the Gospel that we will be judged on how we serve and share life with those who suffer most. If we want to find a place in the Kingdom, we are asked to love like Jesus, with preference for caring for those in need, loving those imprisoned, working for the fair distribution of resources and the liberation of those... enslaved. We don’t all work for justice the same way. Some will write letters, others will serve, others will protest or donate. How is God calling you to work for justice so as to bring life in the midst of the world’s suffering? Where have you neglected Christ in the suffering? Now is the time to see that, and to turn back toward the King, so we can work with Jesus on building the Kingdom. Prayer of the Faithful: For the courage to listen to and stand with the suffering, and to walk in committed action to bring life and justice to the world, we pray to the Lord. Jesus, God and King, show us the way of serving the suffering, transforming death into life. Give us hearts to serve you and your people, especially those most in need. Amen. #CatholicYYC #SundayMass
