#TBT to 1994 once again. We were honoured to be asked back to The Commodore a few months after The Little Big Band played in March of 1994. We were again joined... by the incredibly talented Roomful of Blues. We are now 2 weeks away from playing at The Commodore Ballroom on December 3rd to celebrate the 90th birthday of this historic Vancouver venue. It’s looking like another shut down is imminent and as much as I hate not playing live shows in sweaty bars and connecting with you in person, I know it’s neces...sary and I’m glad we have a little more warning and understanding about what’s happening this time. Earlier this year when everything was getting cancelled and we didn’t know what was going on, I felt like an emotional, scared potato with eyes for weeks at a time. And that’s okay. What I share on socials is generally positive, but the lows have been aggressive and real. To my music pals - rock ‘n roll will never die and we’re going to get through this. Live music will be back, better than ever with experienced artists and industry hitting new levels of craftsmanship, clarity, and an appreciation for getting to do what we do. I’ll never take a live audience for granted again (even if they’re not paying attention and don’t give a shit that I’m playing in the corner) I also have a feeling a ton of new artists and music peeps are finding their voices and gaining the courage to pursue this thing right now, because we’ve all had a little more time to pause and reflect on what we really want. An art explosion on the way and that is what is keeping me sane and helping me keep faith that we’re going to be ok. Let’s keep taking care of ourselves and each other right now - I’m thinking about you and hope you’re doing well
