Here's an easy way to make yourself more visible to drivers day and, especially, night. White running shoes! However, if your runners now look as dirty as those in the attached photo, you can do what I just did. You cut a Mr. Clean magic eraser into small pieces (useful for odd jobs) and use one cube to wash the white leather to look gleaming white again!

This video may seem funny, but it's a dangerous way to learn to drive. Everyone needs a professional driving instructor.

So incredibly sad! Don’t drink and drive! And no cannabis or other intoxicant either. Have a designated driver drive you, take an Uber, take a cab, take a bus, walk or stay home!

An important new article about protecting children (adults and pets too) from household poisons, and what to do if poisoning is suspected.

This is important: MAKE IT EASY FOR EMERGENCY PERSONNEL TO FIND YOUR HOUSE. Is your house number clearly visible from the street, day and night? PLEASE go outside and make sure! In an emergency, when seconds can count, don't rely on the GPS of the ambulance, police, fire truck etc. I've previously posted that 911 can't reliably trace a call made from a cel phone. Has your mail or Amazon delivery ever gone to the wrong house? Mine has. Or has your Uber driver arrived in f...ront of your neighbor's house instead of your house? GPS isn't perfect. MAKE IT EASY FOR EMERGENCY PERSONNEL to ensure they've arrived at the correct house. Aesthetics are of minimal importance. I see so many houses with metal house numbers centered over the garage, nowhere near a light, that don't stand out in the daytime, let alone the nighttime. Use large numbers that contrast with the background color, put the house number under a light that is kept on at night, etc. This is the most important spring renovation you can make!
