It's with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of former Club member and Race Team owner (Evolution Racing) Brent Bolster on Tuesday. Brent was a big supporter of CKRC and would follow drivers to major events to help out and give advise. He was the first to introduce the Arrive and Race concept with his CRG products. The chequered flag has flown RIP Brent.

https://ifunny.co//did-we-skip-the-murder-hornets-because- Track update. As our members may be well aware, our facility was broken into on December 29 at 9:55... pm as recorded by security video. A race trailer was removed from the facility and its contents stolen. The emptied trailer has since been recovered. A Good Samaritan had called in and aided in its recovery. Two other race trailers were broken into and initially seems no items were taken. The club sea can was also broken into and a Stihl leaf blower is missing. Another sea can’s locks were damaged but entry was not gained. Every trailer on site was inspected by myself accompanied by an RCMP officer from the Thorsby detachment. Those who were affected by the event have been contacted. In essence we have all been affected by this act of theft. It is never a pleasant experience to be victimized, but an event like this will never break the spirit of our club; our family. We all share the pain, and we will continue to support our family in any way we can. Considerations for plans to help mitigate future acts of theft or vandalism are currently being discussed and an action plan will be proposed in a timely manner. I advise all members to take any action they seem fit in order to secure your personal belongings. I suggest a puck style lock in securing your trailer will go a long way in mitigating unwanted entry as the locks that were breached with bolt cutters were all of the padlock style. I also welcome any suggestions on this issue and encourage our members to register for our next ZOOM club meeting planned for January 11. (Details will be announced) I generally turn to humour in order to disguise any negative thoughts or feelings that surface from within me. It keeps me going forward and it keeps me focused. I wish everyone of our extended family a happy 2021, and remind ourselves we face these challenges together. -Earl See more
