The Calgary Kookaburras Awards Night is on November 14th at Prairie Dog Brewing! This is a chance for us to come together and celebrate the team, coaches, volunteers, and everyone else who made our 2020 season so great. Plus-ones and guests are invited and encouraged! Tickets are $40 and include a three course meal. The main course will be Prairie Dog’s brisket sandwich. There is a vegetarian option of a falafel burger as well. Tickets can be purchased by e-transfer sent t...o [email protected] Due to COVID-19, we can have a maximum of 47 guests. Purchasing a ticket will confirm your place at the event. Join us and the Calgary Kangaroos on Monday nights from 6pm at AE Cross School for a joint training session and then on Wednesdays for a weekly women’s game! Never played before? No worries! The results from week five (the final week) of the Summer Challenge! The Wallabies brought down the Brumbies! The Rams (Team A) took down the Rams (Team B)! The Shenanigains overcame the Black Widows!... The Glenmore CC defeated the Dingos! The Wombats blanked the Rapids! The Tassy Devils beat the Koalas! The Snowy Owls were victorious over the Drop Bears! The Goannas vanquished the Chieftains! Congratulations to the winning team, the Wallabies! The only team to go undefeated! Congratulations go out to everyone who participated, thank you for being good sports and getting active, despite the current circumstances that surround us! With this, the Summer Challenge comes to an end, but summer is just beginning! To feed your competitive spirit the Kangaroos and Kookaburras are able to return to training and are doing so on Monday and Wednesday nights at 6pm (starting tonight) at AE Cross School! Monday nights are open to everyone, regardless of skill (even if you've never played footy before in your life)! Wednesday nights are hosting the Summer Cup, which kicks off THIS WEDNESDAY! Regardless of skill, come out for a kick! It's fun, free to try, and a great way to get active! *all training sessions are held in accordance with the Government of Alberta safety protocols.
