The Pallet Guy

My first wood project since high school! A 2 level shoe rack fit right for a slideing door closet. I could even put a rubber catch under it in the winter on both levels. Man now i feel brave enough to attempt to build a place to organize my tools. This hobby is starting to save me a lot of space.

Today im testing different ways to dismantle pallets. I tryed sawzall with a diablo carbide tip blade for cutting bords out .it has its merrits but blads can get pinched and it was not good for the saw I tryed circular saw- the wheel gets pinched too often and it dosent work too well... Plug cutter works well but leaves you with big holes in the board. My favorite is the electeic chainsaw now

As I go thru my journy of learning how to make my business I will post a few things now and again that seems unrelated to pallets.

If you know what you are doing, this is a design made by passing very high voltage thru a soaking wet wooden board. Itcan be sealed after drying to ensure the lightning patterns contrast against the wood. Now I have never done this myself so i cant recommend trying because i imagine it can be very dangerous if you arent knowledgable.

If it weren't -30c outside I'd love to get building on something like this.

Just picked up 5 of these monster pallets today! Biggest pallets I've ever seen. Going to be building some cool stuff out of these puppies once I figure out how to get them apart

Just got a little truck to start the busines. Mazda b2200. Put in a new battery and new hitch all in this -20 weather. Looking forward to seeing what i can get done this week now that i have this set up. Wont be long till I can work my way up to something a bit more substantial. one of the fastest ways I have seen to dismantle a pallet. there are things to note about this technique such as the nails are left in and may damage tools later if they are used to plane or cut wood after this technique is used to dismantle, so be aware. that being said check this out. If you buy pallets off me I can provide a dismantlement service for you and just give you the wood in a bundle if you like. Just a thought. Cheers,... G. These are EURO Pallets. -About half the size of a one way standard 48x40 pallet. -Sturdy as heck. ... -Wood on these is usually in better shape then other pallets. -Ideal for crafts and gardens. -Of course theres a big market for recall overseas because they are made to be reusable.
