Join us for a free online workshop on Mental Health First Aid & Moving Towards Trigger Safety with Deepak Kashyap, Toronto Mindfulness Centre. . About the workshop: Our communities and their individuals are no strangers to past trauma related to our very beings and sexuality. What we react to our triggers are unique to our personality and individual history. It would do us good, to think of triggers as trauma wounds. When we’re triggered, we’re re-experiencing a past inj...ury in the present time similar to a post-traumatic stress reaction. . How can we look at our own past and the emotional injuries in a way that we don't, invariably, feel helpless in front of a trigger and feel that we cannot hold onto a sense of control over our 'reactions' to it? Let's talk about gaining power and peace over our own lives. . Registration Information: 1. RSVP directly through Demio, our virtual webinar platform: https://my.demio.com/ref/wkDssK8R9PvsRm5s 2. An email reminder will be sent out to you with further information about the webinar 3. Save the date in your calendar! 4. You can join the session from your computer or mobile device. . . . #CalgaryPride #LearningSeries #Education #WeAreCalgaryPride See more
