In the summer my husband Joseph chain sawed some old logs. The logs had turkey tail mushrooms growing on them. Our bees spent the rest of the afternoon collecti...ng tiny wood chips with turkey tail and bringing them back to the hive. These mushrooms spores must have something special in them that the bees really want. I’d never seen bees collect wood chips or mushrooms before but now I know they do. The best part of this is that the bees chose, all on their own, to collect this mushroom. See more
