WE HAVE RE-OPENED! As of Friday, June 4th we are open for business! Our new hours will be Mondays to Saturdays from 10 to 4. Slightly shortened hours so we can maintain our cleaning and sanitizing regime. We can't wait to see you!!!!!

We are very sad to announce our temporary closure because of COVID-19 health issues. We feel it is the best decision right now for the health and safety of our customers and staff. We are now closed, as of Saturday, March 21st. We want to wish you a Happy International Quilting Day! We wish it was time for celebrating together, but that will have to wait. We have a few openings in the upcoming class, Beginner Free Motion, on Friday, February 28th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. In this introductory workshop you will gain confidence and begin to develop your own style and designs of Free Motion Quilting. They have finally arrived! Daphne Greig's Tapa Cloth - the Banyan Batik that Daphne has created!! Pop in to the shop and see them for yourself. One of our new 2020 classes is starring the panel from the Tapa Cloth line!

Great news! Our 2020 classes are open to Registration. We have 9 new classes with Daphne Greig. Unfortunately, we cannot post the PDF here. Please drop by the shop or give us a call for details. There is a Block of the Month, 3 different Free Motion Classes (with multiple date options), a Walking Foot Quilting Class and some panel classes (including one of Daphne's new fabrics from Tapa Cloth).

We have a couple of spots left in the Mod Ornament Class with Daphne Greig on Monday, November 4th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is made with the Mini Quick Curve Ruler from Sew Kind of Wonderful. The class cost is $30. The pattern is a free download. You do need to have the ruler for the class (we have them for sale at the shop if you need one). We need a couple of people to ensure the Angel Chorus Class will run. It is on Saturday, October 26th from 10 a.m to 4 pm with Daphne Greig. Learn Ripless Paper Piecing to make the ribbon in this beautiful quilt!! Cost is $60 for the class. If you are interested please call the shop at 250-658-2722 to register or for more information. Calico Cupboard carries all the fabrics to make this lovely Angel quilt.

We have some spaces in our upcoming Bargello Class. This beautiful quilt is easy to make but looks complex. If you are a Confident Beginner, have your basic skills in cutting, sewing and pressing then this class is for you! This quilt has great impact, considering the amount of time it takes to do! The class is in two parts. You must sign up for both. Tuesday, October 22 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 and October 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost of the class is $60. We need a couple more people for the Binding by Machine Class to be a go. Friday, Oct 11th from 2 to 4 pm. Come and learn how to finish your quilts quicker, so you can move on to another project! Have trouble hand sewing? Daphne Greig will show you the tips and tricks to sew double-fold binding to your quilt completely by machine!! This class is intended for ALL levels and you will work on a sample-size in class. Class fee is $20. Please call us at 25-659-2722 for more info.
