**Important announcement** New deadline date for stories has been extended to May 29, 2020** Here are some guidelines to keep in mind: ... - Make sure that your storyline is age-appropriate: tell us which age group you are targeting (infants, toddlers or preschoolers). - Make sure that your story will fit an 18 pages/images format - Make an effort to tell an actual story - for instance, instead of presenting colors as what they are (this is orange, this is blue), tell a story that includes the colors. - Make sure that your story has a connection with Cree culture and events. - Try not to duplicate themes that have already been covered by the first series of books. - Texts for stories will be translated into Cree (Northern and Southern dialects); please provide texts in English. - Illustrations for books will be done by a professional Cree artist, but if you wish to provide an idea of how the story could be illustrated, do be shy to tell us! As previously mentioned, this is a wonderful activity to do with your family during this time of social distancing. Everyone is welcome to submit a story..or more!
