Two concrete trucks and a semi of lumber, boy it was a busy morning yesterday, as the three all appeared at once! The sun came out and with the help of my friend Dan over at Limewood Builders we managed to get the walls poured before today’s windstorm rolled in!
The word ‘renovation’ can mean a LOT of different things... sometimes that’s things like paint/trim, changing windows, adding a closet, etc... In this case it’s a little more all-encompassing! Take a peek, I’ve been pretty busy completely gutting, re-enforcing, lifting/leveling, and prepping for an addition on this rather large renovation project! Check out the last picture; not everyday the concrete chute gets poked through a door into a house!
Sometimes the best views are from second story valley side rooftops! Look closely, that’s highway 20 next to the river down at the bottom!
One more quick late season trench before the snow flies!
What started out as a muddy, damp, dark crawlspace got all properly sealed up to keep all the pesky moisture in the dirt where it belongs instead of coming up and continuing to ruin the rest of this house.
Sometimes a plan just goes flawlessly, and part of a house just lays down for a nap! Stay tuned, big plans in the works for this one!
I have also acquired a set of 8’ high concrete wall forms! Footing up, we do it all!
Anyone looking to heat/power outbuildings or bin yards before the frost hits? We now do trenching as well! Give us a call today!
When you pickup a house that did not have a basement and put it on a full 8’ basement, you need to invent a place to put stairs! Check out the video in the comments of me lifting the second floor from the basement!
Check out this cool exposed lumber staircase I built! Obviously it still needs light sanding and stain/clear coat but that can wait until all the trades are done running up and down it wearing boots!
This re-roof turned out beautifully and should keep the homeowner warm and dry for years to come! As almost always with re-roofing a heated building, we added some venting to ensure this roof stays problem free in our wide variety of Saskatchewan climate conditions!
Have a peek inside this massive house renovation now that the kitchen is nearly complete! Yes this is the same house I relocated the stairs in, stay tuned for further updates!

So here’s a really cool little loft I managed to get a start on before all this pandemic stuff! Tongue and groove pine, exposed truss vaulted ceiling! Gonna be one cool teenage hangout!
Need a fireplace? I can do that!
Some days you just start out on the roof and find yourself in the basement!
There once was a kitchen, until I got my hands on this house.... I turned the stairs 90 degrees, patched the hole, shortened and added to the staircase, removed many walls, replaced a section of wall, deleted a chimney, and prepped for the brand new kitchen!
Just a quick 3 day remove and replace siding!
These poor old cedar shakes needed a waterproof replacement that would last as long as they did... once the wind dies down we can get back up there and finish her off!
So this lovely couple had been arriving back at the farm to this nice White House for 40 years before they decided on a colour change and siding upgrade!
Here’s some sneak peeks of the upstairs bedrooms!
Finished off the inside of the public gazebo here at Alice Beach, ready to be used all summer long!
Before, during, and after of the new windows/doors!
