Swamp donkey day

Client should be happy with this, he cut his bear cape pretty short and I originally was just going to add habitat to hide it but decided to use some scrap bear hide and sew it on to complete the cape. Can't even tell , love it . You can hide lots with long fur.

Beautiful huge elk gone home, this was my first elk mount. I think it turned out great, client was thrilled.

I love it when clients get creative when hanging their mounts and send me pictures. This is a great idea.

Now this I pretty cool to have as a souvenir of your hunt. Arrow right through shoulder blade , it came off this beautiful buck. This hunt will be televised on wild TV at some point.

Went home yesterday, some people don't want to let go of their fur babies. Their were very happy to get them back. Pet taxidermy isn't for everybody but it a personal choice. Both cats were hand carved.

First elk to ever come into the shop and they left me about 30 lbs of neck meat for burger.

I love it when clients send me pics of their mounts they just picked up , the smiles say it all. Thanks Krista and Mark enjoy them for many years to come.

Next fun project , pics of progression to come. Picture an otter coming up for air amongst lily pads . Going to be a wall base

This morning I had to do something I really hate doing, calling a client and telling them that their bear skin was slipping hair . Although they were very disappointed and understood I still feel very bad. So many factors of why it could happen and I think in this case a combination of 27 degree day and being found in a swamp and not having access to a cooler right away didn't help.. Sometimes telling a client that there trophy can't be done doesn't go so well... I'm glad she is a great client and understood . Thank you for that
