5 Morning Must Haves! GREENS Any clients of mine know that a greens powder is my favourite supplement or food item, depending on what you consider it. Having my greens first thing in the morning will help get the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants my body needs. TONGUE SCRAPING Tongue Scraping is an Aryuvedic self-care ritual, it is an easy and fast way to get rid of bacteria, toxins and dead cells that build up on our tongues. While we sleep our digestive system is working to remove toxins and some are excreted through sweat and others are left on the surface of our tongue, so it is important to remove first thing to avoid reabsorption. DRY BRUSHING I think I first learned about dry brushing through my friends at @holisticbeauties. Dry brushing is a natural way to stimulate blood flow, remove toxins and get the digestive system moving. But it is super light and doesn’t make my face feel greasy! I just massage a few drops into my finger tips and apply to entire face and neck. I then usually take my Gua Sha to stimulate lymphatic drainage and help my skin absorb all of the goodness! COLLAGEN Collagen is the protein found in our muscles, bones, skin, blood and tendons. It gives our skin the elasticity to stay healthy and is the glue between our tendons and joints. Collagen contains 19 different amino acids which include a mix of essential and non-essential. Collagen also supports our immune system so if you are constantly sick and have dehydrated, dull skin you may need to supplement with collagen! @genuinehealth Clean Collagen is what I use!
