**COVID UPDATE - November 16** Thorsby Minor Hockey was informed today that we must also cease practices during this two week pause. AHS and Hockey Alberta hosted meetings today, where it was decided that all residents of the Town of Calmar, Village of Warburg and County of Leduc may no longer take part in TMHA practices. The only participants allowed to continue with TMHA activities would be Town of Thorsby residents. Since only 10% of our registrants reside within the To...wn of Thorsby and also due to the fact that the majority of our coaches are County of Leduc residents, we have decided to cease all practices and skills sessions, effective immediately, until the two week pause is complete. This news is highly disappointing to us as I’m sure it will be to all of our families and players. As of now, we have been told to be ready for relaunch on November 28th. Thank you for your understanding and as always, we will communicate any changes as soon as the information becomes available. Stay safe!

**COVID GUIDELINES UPDATE - November 13** This confirms that Thorsby Minor Hockey can continue to practice in both Thorsby and Warburg arenas throughout the two week pause. PLEASE NOTE:... - All games are officially cancelled. NAI League will be releasing a revised game schedule in the next week. - All our teams will have access to their two weekly ice slots over this two week period. Teams must stay in their cohorts, meaning no combining with other teams to scrimmage. - Monday skills will continue as per the previously released schedule and will continue to follow physically distanced on and off ice rules. - Warburg arena has now incorporated a MANDATORY mask policy just as Thorsby has in place. - Reminder that the AGM for TMHA is on Monday November 16th at 7pm in the Field House. You can also join remotely via the Zoom link and meeting code in your email. Please continue to follow ALL facility guidelines and AHS rules. Ensure everyone is masking entering the facilities, player and coach health checks are being completed before practice, and physical distance practices are followed in all common areas. Doing so helps ensure our children can continue playing the sport they all love! Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

**COVID UPDATE** Today, the province announced new measures to slow the spread of COVID-19. This includes a pause on team sports for two weeks in many regions of Alberta. At this time, it is our understanding that the community of Thorsby and teams based in our town are exempt from this pause. ... We will communicate more details or any potential changes to scheduled games or practices as soon as information is available. Please continue to strictly adhere to all measures in place for our teams and the arenas to do our part in preventing further transmission.

EVALUATION SCHEDULE AND DETAILS Levels that have multiple combined teams will be taking part in the evaluation process. Evaluations will take place on Friday and Saturday in Thorsby, and will be in Warburg on Sunday. Refer to the schedule for times and location details. Parents are allowed in the stands for evaluations but there will be a sectioned off area specifically for the evaluators. Please respect their space and observe from the other areas of the stands.... PLANNED TEAMS AT PRESENT TIME * U7 (Initiation) Each community will have their own Initiation team. Thorsby and Calmar Initiation will play in Thorsby and the Warburg Initiation will play solely in Warburg. * U9 (Novice) Two teams with a combination of Thorsby and Calmar players. One team with only Warburg players. * U11 (Atom) Three teams with a combination of Thorsby, Calmar and Warburg players * U13 (PeeWee) Two teams with a combination of Thorsby, Calmar and Warburg players * U18 (Midget) Two teams with a combination of Thorsby, Calmar and Warburg players There will be two U11 scrimmages on Saturday and Sunday, meaning the U11 group will be split in two. The U11 families will be contacted Friday and Saturday evening to inform them which ice session their child is to take part in. EVALUATORS We are using an outside company who specializes in player evaluations and placement - Bardown Education - and is the same group we used last year. Bardown will be sending out some information on how they conduct the evaluation process. We plan on passing this information along to our members as soon as we receive it. OPT OUT OR ILLNESS Any players wishing to opt out of evaluations will be placed on the lowest team for their level. We ask that any families wishing to opt out of evaluations please notify someone from your association so we know ahead of time. In the event that your child is sick or injured, preventing them from taking part in evaluations, we do have procedures in place for placing these children on the correct team at a later date. Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to being able to start forming teams this time next week. Please watch your email for further evaluation info throughout the week.

An update from Hockey Alberta: The season has started! Travel will be permitted. Hockey Alberta and its leagues are working together on timelines, and exhibition games could occur as early as October within cohort guidelines. More details available at the link. We hope your players are enjoying being back on the ice at conditioning camp. CMHA is working hard behind the scenes with Thorsby and Warburg to sort out evaluations, ice schedules, and team details.
