I built my own computer about 15 years ago. Since then I've upgraded the hard drives to SSD and 16GB memory. Time to replace the guts (Antec Sonata II case / 650W is still going strong, so keeping that). Asus H470 1150 motherboard, Core i7 10th gen CPU, 32GB RAM, a 500GB SSD, and a second 1TB SSD for data and virtual machines. Add a pair of 22" 16:9 monitors, new webcam, headset, wireless mouse/kb, and an inkjet MFP. All for under $1500. So fast, it types before you hit the keys. Now which operating systems to host as virtual machines? Hmmm...

See that new little "S" icon in the system tray of your Windows 10 computer? Looks like the July 2020 update reinstalled the consumer edition of Skype...a product set for the chopping block in a year and a week. What the ? Oddly, the program doesn't appear in Add/Remove Programs. Easily remove it: Click on the Start button, scroll down to "Skype", right-click and uninstall. Microsoft Teams is already replacing Skype & Skype for Business. After July 31, 2021, goodbye Skype.
