Heavenly Father, Today, we pray for those who live in the Western portion of the United States. Raging wildfires, fueled by strong winds and low humidity, have swept across their land. The fires have scorched hundreds of thousands of acres, destroying homes and churches, businesses and schools. While some of the fires are contained, others continue to blaze like seething infernos. We pray that You douse these wildfires and quench their flames. Please deliver the firefighters ...and residents in the same way You delivered Meshack, Shadrack and Abednego from Babylons fiery furnaces. We pray that You comfort those who mourn, especially the families who lost loved ones and the evacuees who will return to homes and businesses, which may or may not be there. Let them turn to You for strength and courage as they rebuild their lives. Let Your Presence tangibly and undeniably wipe the tears from their faces (Isaiah 25:8). In Jesus Name, we pray. Weekend Blessing: Some battles are yours to fight (with a heart of faith and a mind set on Him), and others, youre meant to entrust to the Lord completely. Som...e fears youre called to confront, and others youre called to ignore entirely. May you pull yourself out of the cultures chaos and crawl under the protective wing of the Most-High God. As you allow Gods love to bring rest to your soul, youll discern your God-given strategy for the moment. Sometimes the enemy levels trauma-fears that are irrational, unreasonable, and dont deserve your time. Other times your storms unearth old fears, and God allows it because youre ready to confront them. The God of Angel Armies is with you, prepared to deliver you. Youre not at the mercy of the culture, or your fears, or even the angry mob. Youre in the mercies of God. Let your heart rest there, trust there, and find healing there. No one can do this for you. Determine to dwell under the Most-High Gods shelter, for then youll find rest in His shadow. You have the living, breathing Word of God. And you have the Holy Spirit within you to guide you through every twist and turn of your journey. Morning Blessing: May you pause today to remember that your journey is as sacred as the destination. Whatever next place God has for you, He intends to meet you... in this place, where you now stand. Hes hidden treasures in the valleys and grace in the shadows. He offers rest amidst the chaos and peace in the middle of the storm. This morning we had a soft opening Sunday worship service in the New Life Centre (gym). It was so nice to be together again! We welcome everyone for our Sunday Worship services starting next Sunday from 10:30-11:30.
