Calvary Church Saskatoon 22.10.2020

Greetings Calvary Church Saints. In light of the Coronavirus which seems to be gaining momentum and creating a great deal of public panic Calvary Church would like to offer these safe-guards: 1. In our Sunday morning worship just a verbal greeting to one-another, and save the hand-shake and the embracing/hug. (I know, this will be extremely difficult for some ). 2. In your morning offering please do not lick your envelopes shut. We will have the offering plate available wi...th an usher for you to place your offering in at the end of the service. 3. If you are feeling any flu-like symptoms we strongly recommend staying home and caring for yourself. (Enjoy an extra un-interrupted TAWG; time alone with God ). Encouragement to Embrace First, it is normal for us to feel anxious in times like these. But it is important to remember what we do with our worries. The Apostle Paul pressed the point, Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6 & 7). As well, to remember God loves us and cares for us, for He has told us, Do not fear for I am with you (Isaiah 41:10). We can have courage when faced with the fear of the unknown, because we trust in an all-knowing God who has promised to be with us wherever we go (Joshua 1:9, Mathew 28:20, 1 Peter 5:7). In times such as these.we cast all our anxieties on the Lord. In His grasp & grace, Tim

Greetings Calvary Church Saints In light of this Sunday’s message, please in your TAWG consider pondering Luke 2: 8-20. Just two things to consider/ponder: first, how do you see God honoring the lowly shepherds? (was there a certain message that was a privilege to hear? 8-13). Second point to ponder, how did the shepherds honor God? ( 14-20) God has validated our worth by enabling us to hear & believe the Good News. Through obedience and sharing the Good News we honor Him ...and validate the worth of others. May you ponder deeply on the meaning of this passage, be greatly encouraged, and ready to make Christ-like connections this Christmas Looking forward to seeing you Sunday. Tim See more
