As this Easter weekend approaches, the one question we all have to ask ourselves is this: How will we respond to Jesus?

Calvary Connects // Friday Fun-Days Easter Edition - Would You Rather?... What did our pastors get up to this time? ... ?

Have you experienced some comfort or relief from God’s presence or truth in your life? And better yet, who can YOU comfort and encourage today?

How do you handle conflict in your life? Some of us might be "yellers", avoiders or pot-stirrers, but Jesus shows us in His life and opposition from the religious leaders and teachers of the law that there is a better way to handle conflict than the ways that may seem natural to us. Unlike a lot of us at times, Jesus modelled a kind of love that was, on one hand, unwavering in the truth and proclamation of it and yet, on the other hand, a kind of love that was humble and sacr...ificial. Even in the midst of rejection and isolation from His own people, Jesus didn't fight back or get revenge. Instead, he willingly laid down his rights and his life to bring forgiveness for these people's sins. All we can say to that is, "wow". That... doesn't make sense. That's hard to do. But that's the kind of love and posture he calls us to take in conflict, today. How can you move that direction in your own life, in light of what Christ has done for you?

Witnessing the birth of Christ was just the beginning. At the very least this was something they talked about for years to come... But the hope is, both for the shepherds and for us today, is that our encounters and experiences with Christ are more than stories and go beyond a moment or m...emory. Know that God’s work is unfinished!
