Over the last 2 weeks I have put close to 900 kilometers on my bike and I couldn't have done it without Dan Perna! I'm not usually a lover of cold weather and it can get me down with the shorter days and less light. Having this trip planned made it easier to get out on gloomy days to train and put the miles on the bike. Dan came up with the idea for a bike packing trip and although the idea changed many times we made it happen! It was no walk in the park and a week later we a...re both still feeling the effects but definitely feel stronger and closer because of it. There is also some pictures of a trip we did from The CN Tower to Niagara Falls the week before. It was a bucket list item for me and a good prep for the trip. So don't let the cold stop you!! Having an awesome friend to do it with made all the difference as I definitely wouldn't have done this alone nor would it have been as fun. Having the proper gear is also super important. What a day we had yesterday! It was a pleasure to be apart of seeing these two lives and families come together. Here are a few teasers for the time being :):)

A month ago my Mother and I took on the 'la cloche silhouette trail' in Killarney Provincial Park. It is around 100km backcountry hiking loop in some of the roughest terrain we have in Ontario. Being in the backcountry means you have to carry ALL your food for the trip which was 7 days/6nights for us. It was no easy feat but I just wanted to give my mom some serious props for taking on the challenge. We had 2 days of rain, what felt like hurricane winds one night which made for a solid 2 hours of sleep that night, a white wolf walk through our camp and some red squirrels try to eat our hanging food pack. If you are interested in knowing more about the gear and food we took hit me up. Happy to share any advice and chat about adventures :):)

With warm weather on its way, who else is excited for some bonfires!? Hopefully we can have them with friends and family sooner than later :)
