Essential Esthetics, Calypso Hair and Pixie Hair Covid-19 Infection workplace policies and procedures. The following measures have been put in place for the health and safety of us all to reduce the risk of transmission of the Covid-19 virus by Work Safe BC: ~ All clients must sanitize hands upon entering the shop. ... ~We have removed ‘gathering place’; front desk clients will pay at the work station, front waiting chairs have been removed except for 1 chair that can be used by a client that requires a seat. ~ Front door will remain open so no one needs to handle it and to allow for good airflow. ~ Beverage station has been removed; please bring in your own water, coffee or tea. ~ Magazines have been removed. ~ Please keep companions at home unless you require assistance, once settled the companion will need to wait outside until the client is finished. ~ Please wait in your car until your appointment time, if early. ~ There will be a maximum of 8 people in the shop at any given time, so if we are at capacity, please wait in the marked areas outside. ~ PPE (personal protection) is in place: plexiglass shield for the manicure station, Lori, Anne and Sylvia will wear masks and aprons. ~ Hair stations are 6 feet apart, dryer area has been modified to maintain physical distancing protocol. ~ Please stay behind the floor marking (tile to wood floor) until you’re called for your appointment to maintain the 6 feet physical distancing. It is understood that during various services the 6 feet distancing may not always be possible, therefore we will require all clients to wear a mask for everyone’s protection. If you do not have a mask, we will have some available for purchase. We are constantly cleaning high-touch areas and allowing extra time between clients to do extra cleaning. The cleaning products we use are Preempt; a hospital grade cleaner, disinfection, and sterilizer, as well as Barbicide and we have done refresher courses on these products in preparation of opening. Hair and Esthetics requires different forms of disinfecting and sterilizing and we are proud to say we have been following these guidelines for years. PLEASE DO NOT come for your appointment if you have any of the Covid-19 symptoms; fever, dry cough, tiredness, aches and pains, sore throat, headache, loss of taste or smell, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath. If you have been in contact with someone who has a confirmed case of Covid-19, please stay home, self-isolate and take care of yourself. If you have been out of the province/country in the last 14 days, please follow the guidelines and self-isolate
