It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sensei Doug Maffin, who passed away peacefully at Lisaard House on April 10th. Doug was a volunteer of the YMCA for about 50 years and was very active in a number of activities aside from judo like racquetball, canoeing, hiking, swimming, and photography. Doug will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life reception will be at Napa Grille, Cambridge, Thursday, April 26th from 4-7p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated for the Lisaard House or The Grand Valley Trails Association. As Doug bid a sad goodbye on April 10th to a full and wonderful life of 70 years, he wanted us to relay "Happy trails to you all!"Relatives and friends are invited to sign Doug's online book of condolences at www.couttsfuneralhome.com
