As you have all heard the N.S. government has made masks mandatory in all public spaces starting Friday July 31st. We will require customers visiting our store to wear a mask starting this Friday. This is not something we want to do so hopefully it doesnt last long! We know that this may make some people not want to go out and shop local, and we completely understand. So if you prefer not to wear a mask (EDIT: Or are unable to wear a mask) we still offer curb side pickup (orders and payments done by phone and we will bring it out to you when you arrive). Were open to in store customers again! We will be allowing 3 people at a time into the store to pick up orders, supplies and browse color chips. Calling your order in ahead of time is still preferred. We will give you a time for pick up and you can pay over the phone or when you arrive. Paying over the phone will eliminate your having to wait if we happen to be busy when you arrive. ... We can not promise that we can complete your order on the spot if you place the order in person. Although we may not look busy at the time, be assured that we likely have a pile of orders that have been placed in advance. These will be given priority. Every paint job has different prep steps. The one thing that remains consistent in our advise for pretty much every scenario is to wash the surface with TSPe. This is a concentrated heavy duty cleaner that removes contaminants and leaves the surface ready for paint with no residue. Also great for washing decks and siding. There are no solvents in it so it will not hurt your grass or plants. A 500ml bottle will make 5 gallons worth of cleaning solution. #Tspe #painting #diy #homeimprovement #truro

Here is what we have come up with: 1) Go on the SICO or PARA/Color Journeys website (below) and pick a color or colors. 2) Colors online do not show as true as the actual color chip so give us a call with the color you have in mind and we will gather up that chip along with some variations of the color. 3) We package the chips up and will put them on the deck for you.... 4) Take them home and make your choice. 5) Call us with your choice and we will make your paint! We will do our best to provide you with color chips to match what you are seeing online. This has been working very well for us. We have the best customers ever! What a day. We closed our store to customers at 1pm today. Not one person complained about having to call their orders in and pay with a credit cards. The response was way better then expected as we had a crazy busy afternoon. Thank you to everyone. We will be following the same rule tomorrow. Our store will be closed to customers until we feel its safe to re-open it. We want to thank everyone for the positive response on our last post. The phone has been ringing with people calling in their orders for pick up. We are still however, having a lot of people in the store at the same time. This was not an easy decision but we have decided as of 1pm today our door will be locked. Our staff will still be here accepting orders and payments over the phone. When arriving for your order you can call us once in the parking lot and we will put ou...r items on the deck. It is hard to know if we are over reacting or not, but at this point we would rather over react. Everyone needs to do their part. Today was a very busy day in the store with people wanting paint to complete projects at home due to being off work because of the COVID 19 pandemic. While we greatly appreciate the business, and this is a great time to tackle those projects, it is defeating the purpose of why people are off work. There were times when we had 10-15 customers in the store at once (very unusual this time of year). We will continue to be open as long as we are allowed to be, but we thought we co...uld do a better job of having less people in tight quarters. - As usual you can always call ahead. We can figure out everything you need and your order will be ready when you arrive so you can get in and out. (902)843-3400 - If the parking lot is full maybe hang out in your car until a couple people leave. - Spread out inside the store rather then crowding around the counter. These are just a couple thoughts as we are all trying to handle this the best we can. We are grateful for the busy day we had today and look forward to another one tomorrow!
