This Ain't/The Saint. Acrylic on Canvas, 2021. The last in my series of nude self portraits. It's barely a nude, and doesn't much resemble my self, so it's the perfect way to kick off 2021. Tarnished, banal, and a little janky but nonetheless I find it satisfactory. I find my dead eyes calming, and I think the halo has settled at an appropriately jaunty angle.

Unveiling. Acrylic and rhinestones on canvas, 2021. She's just been married. The doves were just supposed to lift the tiara and veil off. But the whole wig came with. She's not fussed. Everyone knows she has alopecia, and she only wore the wig so the tiara would have something to clip onto. In a moment it will be messy, as the doves struggle under the weight of the whole thing and crash out of the sky onto Aunt Vivian.
