Happy Remembrance Day! Today is the day we remember how the soldiers sacrificed their lives during the war. I designed a stamp inspired by the Battle of Vimy Ridge. During the war, many Canadia soldiers lived in the dugout trenches. On these hard times, they endured the dirt, mouse, lice, fleas and dead bodies in the trench while fighting the enemy. In the middle of the opposing sides, there was an unoccupied space called No Man’s Land. This land was filled with barbed wir...es, artillery and gunfires. In this image, I designed the trench as an upside-down soldier's helmet. The image of three soldiers shows the friendship that was built during the war. #throwbackthursday I was featured by my favourite YouTuber Lavendaire's Lavi Love Spotlight before. My dreams remain the same and I still pursue it! Looking back, I have a few lessons I learned along the way.... 1. Beware of #fakefreelanceclients. There are so many people who pretend they have money and will pay you but isn't true. 2. It is more important to improve your skills than get clients. Besides taking lessons online, another way of learning is reading books especially entrepreneurship, and getting clients. 3. Reflect back on your past experiences and learn about your working style. This will make it easier for you to connect to your future clients and work. 4. Establish a portfolio that converts. Don't just post random projects on your portfolio. Each piece should have a rationale behind it. 5. Make friends with other designers online or offline.
