Today’s post is an appreciation post to our amazing friends over at the Athletic Therapy Clinic. They have been such a huge part of our Chargers Athletic program and keeping each and every athlete in the best condition possible. A couple pictures doesn’t do justice, but we want to give a big thank you to all of you at the AET clinic. A special thanks to our head of athletic therapy, Lemuel Lau. Lem continues to go above and beyond to keep us in the best condition possible. We wouldn’t be where we are without you and your team. You guys are all AMAZING!

THROWBACK THURSDAY Throw back to when the @chargers_mbb was at Keyano College in Fort Mac Alberta for the 2015/16 Nationals! It was an incredible event with many amazing memories. Although, this season has been cancelled, we can look at these memories for motivation to continue to better ourselves and the team to ultimately achieve our goal of going back! ... #tbt #nationals #chargers #camosun

As many of you already know, PACWEST has officially cancelled our 2020/2021 Volleyball season. With this news comes great heartache, but alongside that heartache, a whole lot of determination and motivation. Micheal Jordan once said, Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it. This wall that we have hit will only be another obstacle for us to navigate around. It won’t ...stop us nor will it hold us back from becoming the best team we possibly can. We will continue to work hard and train within the new guidelines in hope to put those jerseys back on in September of 2021. We hope you all carry on with practicing good health and stay safe as we enter into the new year. On behalf of all Chargers Men’s Volleyball players and staff, we want to thank you for your continued support. We hope to see you in our new gym in the near future. Go Chargers! #MotivationalMonday#PiseWorld #GoChargers See more

Let’s TALK Tuesday With no chance to have a Bell Let’s Talk game this year, we believe it’s important to keep the conversation of mental health going no matter what. Here are some words from @chargerswomensvolleyball athlete @maddie_y11 Although our season was cancelled we work hard to take this opportunity to better our mental health. Sometimes we focus so much on our sport we forget to take a moment for self appreciation and doing something besides training.... Sometimes we like to do things like go on hikes, read a book, watch your favourite show or try cooking! Everyone’s trying new things and some work better than others. Comment below something you’ve done to better your mental health this week (: #camosun #camosunchargers #mentalhealth #camstateprodigies

Camosun College volleyball coach Charles Parkinson says the repercussions from the cancellation of the 2020-21 PACWEST sports season, announced Wednesday, will have more effects on graduating Grade 12 high school athletes than it will on current college athletes. I’m most concerned about that. I’m worried about a lost generation, said Parkinson, who has guided the Chargers to four PACWEST men’s titles in making six consecutive conference finals. While the cancellation of the 2020-21 PACWEST season is a huge disappointment to all of us, the Chargers stand strong in their commitment to remain positive and continue working and training towards a safe return to play. Thank you to our fans and supporters for always sticking by us. We will be back to compete when the time is right.
