Hi everyone! Thank you for following along this summer with all the songs and activities I've been posting. It has been really nice to have so much positive feedback. Today is my last day of work, so this is the last post of the summer. However, if you're ever bored, just take a scroll down through the camp page and look at the pictures from this summer, and the ones previous. (I certainly will!) Anyway, thank you again for all the support these last few summers, I had a lot ...of fun. For all my campers I didn't see this summer: - Wear sneakers and long pants at campfires, - Put your brooking shoes outside to dry or they'll stink, - Keep your elbows off the table, - And know that you will always have a place here Yeah Brookwood!

This summer, we have been working to maintain the camp and improve on some areas. I hope you enjoy looking through some of the work we've been doing!

The Good Samaritan Luke 10 One day, a teacher of Jewish law came to Jesus and asked him a question. He asked, God's law tells me to love my neighbour as myself. But, who is my neighbour? Jesus answered by telling a story. ... A man was travelling down a rough and rocky road all alone when robbers grabbed him. They beat him up very badly, stole all of his things, and left him laying on the side of the road in pain. Later, a priest came along and saw the man on the side of the road, but he kept walking. A little while later, a temple worker came down the road and saw the man lying there, but he did not help him either. The man could not help himself because he was too badly hurt. However, eventually a man from Samaria came down the road and saw the man. The man who had been robbed was a Jew, and the Samarian traveller knew that Jews did not like Samaritans, but he stopped and helped him anyway. He cleaned the man's wounds and wrapped them in bandages. Then he took the man to an inn. With his own money, the Samaritan paid for the innkeeper to take care of the hurt man while he was away. He told the innkeeper that he would pay more money for the man's care when he came back if the innkeeper needed it. When he'd finished telling that story, Jesus asked the teacher of law which traveller was a good neighbour to the hurt man. The teacher of law answered, The one who helped him. Jesus simply replied, Go and do the same. I hope that everyone is doing their part to be good neighbours to one another in these trying times by remaining socially distant and by taking the necessary healthcare precautions to keep everyone safe. New Brunswick has been incredibly lucky so far during this global pandemic. Let's keep this good thing going by staying vigilant and careful of each other!
