Camp Otayohni

157 days spent on the land. Four days shy behind 1492 Landback. Protecting/defending/building/working the land..It's now become my life's purpose. From behind... a barricade on Plank Rd, to building the 6x6 Safety Zone and now creating a spot to learn about our language and culture at Camp Otayohni..the road leading to the Protected Place has begun to fulfill a responsibility for me. Having the OPP watch my almost every move, does not hinder my ability to push forward. When you have a spiritual claim to the land, have the willingness to care and protect it, endure the elements, it's very gratifying. It's also teaching me to remain humble and to accept the changes within. The Wolf Camp is stirring up something good inside me and I'm hoping it will bring changes for others as well. 2020 is definitely due for a change. Agree? Hopefully, 2021 will be good to Camp Otayohni and those that help build it. Right now it's a bit cold at the camp but we're managing. ( Lost 2 generators and a heater) so far. There's a GoFundMe page setup now. Proceeds will help with the building cost and day to day necessities such as gas, oil, cords of wood, food, batteries etc. I'll post weekly updates and when the Wolf building is ready, and covid finally evaporates, you'll can come learn alongside me.
