Camp 3D 05.11.2020

I’ve never gotten emotional when a celebrity has passed and honestly I’ve never understood why people do, however I can say now that I get it as I have been incredibly sad over the passing of Kobe, I now understand that the influence that a person can have and our emotions towards them can go so far past just knowing someone, but that humans can connect to others and be impacted in so many different ways. This death is so much more then basketball, but the passing of both Kob...e and Gigi is such a hard hit for female basketball as through his daughter he became such a large supporter and advocate for female sports, and his daughter was an incredible player likely to break barriers for females, so together I can’t help but imagine what they were going to accomplish for female players and the game in general. He was someone who I looked up to as a player and used his quote (See below) to motivate myself when I was a younger. Kobe will forever be missed, and I hope we honour not only his incredible style of play, but everything he stood for off of the court. I hope when kids say Kobe when chucking up a ball or making a move, they realize that that name means so much more then what you can do on a court, but should motivate you to be great in all aspects of your life, and strive to be a truly good person. Quote: I made a choice when I was 13, that when people watch me play, I want them to leave the gym saying that they just saw a kid who gave it everything that he had, who had natural abilities, but played like he was the 12th man off the bench, If I can be remembered as a person who squeezed every ounce of juice out of this orange that he could, then I would be happy with that Kobe you will be missed, but I hope your journey continues to inspire young athletes everywhere, to be the best they can be on and off the court. Thank you for all you did. https://www.12up.com//sportscenter-elle-duncan-shares-hear
