The Food Bank Elves have been busy getting ready for a big Distribution day tomorrow, Wednesday, December 9th. It will be one of our busiest days of the year. We will be open between 10 AM and 3 PM for Distribution for anyone needing assistance. Please expect a bit of a wait while we fill orders and respect everyone’s safety by keeping a good distance between yourself and others. Stay safe everyone!

Once again with the wet weather we have extended our hours. 10-1 Monday and Friday for drop in, and First 3 Wednesday’s of each month from 10-3. We also have Knights of Columbus 2020 Christmas Hamper applications.

We will be closed on Wednesday, November 11th to honour our heroes with a day of Remembrance.

Thanks to our generous friends at MOWI Canada, we are able to make November ‘Salmon Month’. Each client receives a pound or more of beautiful salmon to boost their Omega-3 intake.

With the weather getting chilly and wet, our hours are extended to allow folks time to pick up their food with social distancing. Mondays and Fridays from 10 AM to 1 PM (excluding holidays) and first 3 Wednesdays of each month from 10 AM to 3 PM. To keep everyone safe we will continue to deliver food outside. Don’t forget to ask us for Knights of Columbia 2020 Hamper application. Only available for a short time.

MOWI Canada West dropped off 14 designer fish boxes just like this Tuesday. That works out to 600 pounds of salmon! Thank you MOWI Canada West for your generosity.

On Wednesday during our weekly North Island food deliveries we picked up 2 pallets of salmon from our friends at the Campbell River Food Bank thanks to the gene...rosity of Mowi Canada West, Food Banks BC for our truck and Mid Island Co-op for the fuel. We appreciate everyone working together to make sure Vancouver Island communities have a reliable food supply. See more

We will be closed Good Friday, April 10th, and Easter Monday, April 13th but return to regular hours, Wednesday, April 15th from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. and Friday, April 17th, from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M.

We ask that people maintain safe distances between other clients please & be prepared for rain for the next few days. We will be as quick as we can in preparing bags, and while we have previously asked folks to bring their own bags, we will be providing bags at this time. Food Bank personnel will be on hand outside for directions.

Distribution Please follow instructions relayed to you by the food bank representatives. Keep a 2 meter length between each other. Only one family member, (person picking up groceries ) is allowed in the line.... OUR BUILDING IS RESTRICTED. NO ENTRY!! We need to adhere to strict rules in order for us to stay open. PLEASE HELP US AND EACH OTHER!! PLEASE SHARE THIS.

Please keep your local Food Banks in mind with the following; Top Ten Grocery Needs: Peanut Butter... Mac & Cheese Baked Beans Rice Pasta Pasta Sauce/Canned Tomatoes Tuna Soup Cookies Crackers Any dried or canned goods such as fruit, vegetables etc...
