This week’s free meal will be Chicken with Penne in a White Cream Mushroom Sauce. Sadly, this will be our last week of free meals. What we started off doing ...was a week or two of free meals for those in need. Thanks to so many of you kind, wonderful and generous people, this grew into a movement larger than we could have ever expected. It has run for over 3 months! Now however, more than 1600 meals later, the funds have run out. It has been an incredible experience and we have been overwhelmed by the positive response from everyone far and near. We have been embraced by the people of Trent Hills and beyond. We have been honoured to meet so many of you and to have been welcomed into your lives. It is an experience none of us will ever forget. Once again Dockside Bistro prepared 108 meals for delivery to the local Seniors and local residents needing a good meal . Thanks also to Island Park for the cookies to make a full meal package. I had the privilege of delivering some of the meals today and say hello to some of my friends. It was great fun and everyone seems to be doing well. Many thanks to the other drivers and a big thank you to Sarah once again for her tireless efforts and giving. We appreciate all your efforts as you are the driving force in this inniative. Once again put your order in early and before 10 am. On Tuesday to get on next Thursday's delivery list. Call John Mancini . It looks like Sarah is still willing to slave over the hot stove til the end of the month. STAY SAFE and be kind to each other.

Just an update to the Seniors Benefit coming from CPP. And OAS. According to the latest information you should see the $300. One time payment the week of July 6. This will also be when the $200. Benefit for those on GIS thru the OAS will be paid out. It will be automatically deposited to your account if that is how you get your CPP and OAS otherwise it will be mailed by cheque. KEEP SAFE AND BE KIND ......

Thursday May 21st and once again Dockside Bistro prepared and delivered 86 meals to our community. They also helped out the food banks in Havelock and Campbellford. Many are seniors, but there are quite a few that just need a little help or show of compassion at this time. With restrictions slowly lifting please remember the masks, Hand washing and social distancing as we want everyone to stay safe . We believe that this programe will wind down in the next two weeks. Next Thursday is Penne with Chicken in a White Mushroom sauce for dinner. Please let John Mancini know before Tuesday at 10 am if you would like a meal delivered or know someone who could use a little help at this. BE Safe and remember to be Kind to each other.

Once again Dockside Bistro sent out 86 meals to various members of the community ON Thursday. That is while also sending meals to both Havelock and Campbellford Food Banks. These gals are keeping busy cooking and packaging and delivering these meals. Let us know if there is someone you know who could use this boost to their lives. Just call John Mancini to get a name on the delivery list before Tuesday morning 10 am.

Happy Mothers Day

This Thursday coming The Dockside Bistro will be cooking up a Ham Casserole for delivery of this free meal program. John needs the list before 10 am Tuesday in order to get the delivery lists completed for Thursday. We have seen a generous donation from Katrina at The Northumberland Community Care to help keep this initiative going. They have a number of persons needing this extra help and caring at this difficult time. In lieu of a hug, a warm tasty meal delivered to your door reminds us that some one cares about each and everyone one of us. Thank you so much to all of the Dockside Bistro staff, owners , family , volunteer drivers and those that have donated to keep the love going.

Once again Dockside Bistro is preparing and delivering 107 Chicken Stir Fry meals this Thursday. Northumberland Community Care has given a list of individuals that could use this assistance and show of caring. There are so many needing this little show of compassion. At this time there have been 757 meals delivered by this initiative.. This is due to the great efforts of Sarah, her family, and friends and volunteers and a lot of co ordination from Community like John Mancini , Community Care and generous donations from the public. Special thanks to everyone for their commitment to our community. What a great place to live. Next week's menu is Ham Casserole. Thursday April 30th free meal from Dockside Bistro is Butter Chicken and Rice. They will be delivering 111 meals to Seniors , and so many members of the Community that look forward to trying something different and can use the kindness during this lonely time. Once again Sarah and her team have gone above and beyond the call for this community. Thank you from the very bottom or our hearts. Everyone stay safe and be kind to each other.

Once again Dockside Bistro is preparing to bring 82 meals to members of the community. Community Care has reached out to us as well. There are so many in this community in need of a meal or need to know that their community cares about them and is thinking about them. This Thursday the meal is Ham, potatoes and vegetables. At this point the list is full. Once again this could not happen without the generousity of the Dockside Bistro and many donations from the general public. Thank you to Sarah and all her volunteers...

So far Brenda Barrett of the Friendship Club has made masks for many cashiers. John Mancini was able to get more elastic for her to continue so she made 25 masks for the Giant Tiger crew. Some went to the ladies at 40 Grand Rd. And also some of the Ladies at Sharpe's. She is now working on masks for the hospital. Keep up the remarkable work Brenda.

Dockside Bistro is once again delivering meals to 80 individuals that have expressed a need. This is not just Seniors or Club members. The bulk of the meals are to various individuals in the local area that need a little help at this time. They plan on doing this again next Thursday. The meal is to be Ham and Vegetable/potatoes dish. Call John Mancini to get your name on the list for a free meal delivered to your door. We have to thank Dockside Bistro for their help and caring . We are hoping that VELMA Doherty is doing better now that she is back home. She had a mild stroke but is now home. Stay well VELMA. We are thinking about you.

Yesterday Dockside Bistro and volunteers delivered 64 meals to various individuals in the community. Some where seniors but over half were others that reached out to us. We are so glad this helped brighten so many people's day. Next Thursday Dockside will be preparing Sausage and Scalloped Potato's.
