Shabbat Shalom families!! Camp Kinneret-Biluim is thrilled to announce that Rebecca Starr is our new Assistant Director! Rebecca started spending her summers at Camp Kinneret as a Goshrim camper in 2006. She attended Camp Biluim Canada in 2011 and Biluim Israel in 2012. The following summer, she returned to Camp Kinneret, where she spent the next three summers as a Giborim staff member. In 2016, she joined the head staff team as our Giborim unit head. In 2017 and 2018, Rebecc...a was our Camp Kinneret Program Director. Then, in 2019, she went on to serve as a Madricha on Biluim Israel. Rebecca’s experience with children stems beyond her summers at camp. During the year, Rebecca is an elementary school teacher. She attended Concordia University and received her BA in Education in 2018. The following year she returned to school to complete her MEd in Developmental Psychology and Education, focusing on ADHD and learning challenges. Rebecca looks forward to spending many more wonderful summers at CKB. In addition to supporting our staff and ensuring that our campers are enjoying a transformative experience, you will find Rebecca singing in the Chadar, playing Saturday morning basketball in the plex, dancing on Shabbat, and jumping in the lake!

Today we join our entire CYJ family in mourning the loss of a true pillar of our Youth Movement. The very definition of Eshet Chayil, is a woman of valour. Nothing rings truer for Helen, a woman of valour. Our sincere condolences to the entire family.
