Hi everyone! In this ever-shifting world, we are always seeking new solutions to new circumstances. In lieu of an in-person vigil to honor Trans Day of Remembrance, OUTreach and the CWC have opted to host a screening of "Call Her Ganda", the story of Jennifer Laude, a transwoman from the Philippines murdered by an American marine. This will take place at the same time as the original event: this Friday starting at 6:00pm. This is a 90-minute film followed by an opportunity to discuss the film and local topics of transphobic violence. We invite all those who planned to attend the vigil to join us for our digital event.

Salutations to our digital community, Later this month, the Campus Women's Centre, in collaboration with OUTreach Southern Alberta Society and Lethbridge Pride Fest, will be hosting a vigil outside of Lethbridge City Hall for Transgender Day of Remembrance. This will be held on Friday, November 20th from 6-7pm. We encourage all attendants to follow all proper social distancing and PPE etiquette. Hand sanitizer and masks will be available if you do not have one. ... This is a chance for community members to speak on their experiences and to honor the many gender-diverse individuals who have lost their lives to violence this year. We invite everyone to join us in remembering those who have fallen and unite our voices against transphobia and bigotry.
