Hey WDCC and Camp Waterdown Families!!! Our resident Chef Olivia wants to thank you all for taking the time this morning (Tuesday) to join her in the kitchen! We ALL had a blast, and it was so great getting to see all of you!! Families in our registered Toddler / Preschool and Before & After School programs will have, or will be receiving email invitations to our next Zoom Video presentations for families this week and next. (Access by telephone for those with limited access is also provided.) We regularly send email invites to registered families, private posts here on the web site, and also post our schedules on our Private Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/wdccfamilies/ Upcoming we have: Family Fitness Fun with Katelyn & Kellie Tomorrow Wednesday April 8 at 10:00am, and again at 2:00pm Mindfulness Fun with Ryan Thursday April 9 at 12:00pm, and again at 2:00pm (Personal Invites for the following are being prepared now and will be sent soon.) We have created a Private Facebook Group for our registered families to join. We will be posting additional support and resource information there, plus using it as a way to keep our community of families and staff in touch with each other during the COVID-19 isolation period. Upon requesting to register, you will be presented with three questions that need to be answered to help positively identify your relationship with our organization. We look forward to seeing you there...! https://www.facebook.com/groups/wdccfamilies/

We found a good Plain Language online guide to share (prepared from work done by a Carleton University professor) to assist families with navigating Employment Insurance and the COVID-19 Canadian Aid and Benefits packages from Ontario, as well as information for Renters. Be sure to use the link at the top to "Answers to common questions" as that contains very clear information. https://aidguide.ca

In an effort to help support our community during this time of self isolation and school closure, we will begin publishing and distributing materials and initiatives to help our families continue the processes of child education and healthy development at home. Starting with Ontario Ministry of Education's Learn at Home Phase One: https://www.campwaterdown.com/learn-at-home-ontario-elemen/

An Update for our Friends and Families on Tuesday March 17 We wanted to post a quick update on what is happening here at WDCC. We have had to close all our offices, so all our staff are working separately from home, and we are employing modern teleconferencing and online Team software to continue our program planning and improvements...
