Consistent with the new directives from the Government of Alberta, the decision has been taken to postpone the 2020 Alberta Rope Skipping Championships. As yo...u are aware, the Government of Alberta is asking all large gatherings or international events in the province that have more than 250 attendees (which includes the 2020 Alberta Rope Skipping Championships) to cancel their activities. RSA's 2020 Annual General Meeting has also been postponed. RSA sincerely thanks SkipTime, the hosts of the 2020 Alberta Rope Skipping Championships, for their support of RSA’s decision to postpone Provincials and explore possibilities for future dates. This is one of many tough decisions that are being made across the country and around the world. With such a rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus, we are committed to following all of the recommended guidelines and measures to slow its spread and maintain the health and well-being of our athletes, coaches, judges, volunteers and their families. We will be in contact with members with relevant information as we sort out the many details over the next few weeks and await directives and decisions from Rope Skipping Canada as they likewise adjust their plans.
