CISPI is pleased to announce another program for secondary school students who want to participate in a Gap/Sabbatical year in Canada. Attend a Canadian secondary school for a few months, one semester or a full year. Placements are available in small cities and large urban centers.

Elite's Cradle school principal, Mr. Li, is welcomed by Director Cameron of the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario. Students from Elite Cradle travelled from China and spent one week in Brockville area Catholic Schools in cooperation with CISPI. A principal for CDSBEO writes: Our grade 6 class thoroughly enjoyed the visit from the Chinese students. My students all wanted their turn as host and to sit beside them. The Canadians were enthralled. The final... dance and song was appreciated by the whole school including my son. He is in grade 5 at JL Jordan School. It was through his eyes that I truly came to appreciate what this week meant to our students. He was captivated by the Chinese guests. He made cue cards with symbols, letters and numbers in both languages and carried them to and from school. He talked a lot about Richard, Lu Lu and Sunnie. At the end of the week, just after closing celebration, he told his mother that ‘these are the moments we have to appreciate’. This experience opened our eyes to a whole other world. CISPI's visitors from China visited the Brockville railway tunnel with their Canadian classmates. Canada’s First Railway Tunnel was completed in 1860 for the Brockville and Ottawa Railway and later owned by the Canadian Pacific Railway until being acquired by the City of Brockville in 1983. The Tunnel is a remarkable example of Canada’s pre-Confederation industrial heritage. Our guests from China enjoyed learning about Canada and the importance of the railway. #internationaleducation

CISPI is pleased to welcome 38 students from Elite Cradle School in central China. The group stopped on their way to Brockville for supper after a 20 hour flight. In Brockville they will be attending school with their Canadian pen pals. Welcome to Canada!!!

CISPI Director, Paul Brown, recently visited Remit Love School in Zhengzhou China. CISPI is proud to work with a local Ontario public school board in developing a sister school agreement where Canadian students and Chinese students can learn more about each other. Paul Brown is pictured with students, Chinese educators and government officials after a signing ceremony. CISPI is now getting ready to welcome Chinese students to Canada for school programs and summer camps.
