Things have looked a little different this year as the Harvey Friesen Home of Hope - supporting women and girls impacted by HIV/AIDS in Boro Boro, northern Uganda - closed during the pandemic. A few of the alumni were able to visit the centre recently, along with this slide, which has seen it’s fair share of love and use. Thanks to a successful donation drive over the holidays, the Home will be renovating the playground. ... We can’t wait for the new cohort to arrive when the Home re-opens, with a brand new place for the girls to play, grow and enjoy. #CanadaAfricaPartnership #CAPAIDS #CAPAIDSUganda #HIVAIDS #GirlPower

How lovely! In this video, Calasina bursts into spontaneous song. Under Covid restrictions, her business is failing. Her family is hungry. And she has just received her food basket thanks to the generosity of donors through our Affiliate Village of Love Canada. She is captured on video, making up the words of her song as she goes. You can sponsor a food basket for a family like Calasina's too! Donate at: https://secure.e2rm.com/registrant/DonationPage.aspx
Delighted to be featured, amplifying stories of community led impact.
