Canada has held its largest Express Entry draw ever on November 18, 2020. Express Entry: 5,000 ITAs in biggest draw ever Canada has now issued 92,350 ITAs this year, exceeding targets. Check Eligibility Here ::::::::::::: https://www.canada-direct.com/registration-page/... A total of 5,000 invitations were issued in this draw, bringing immigration candidates one step closer to Canadian permanent residence. Candidates needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 472 in order to receive an invitation this round. Express Entry is Canada’s immigration application management system for three federal economic-class programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class. Candidates in these programs, as well as some Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), are given a score based on the CRS. Points are awarded depending on a candidate's human capital factors such as age, education, work experience, and language ability in English or French. Check Eligibility Here ::::::::::::: https://www.canada-direct.com/registration-page/ The highest-scoring candidates receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in an Express Entry invitation round. In case of a tie between candidates, IRCC applies the tie-breaking rule. So, for this draw, candidates who had a CRS score of 472 or more, needed to have submitted their Express Entry profile before October 27 at 06:18:11 UTC in order to receive an invitation. This year, the CRS requirement has typically hovered above 470 for all program draws. The Federal Skilled Trades Program-only draw on August 6 invited trades workers with a CRS of 415, and previous Canadian Experience Class-only draws dipped into the 440s. PNP-only draws have higher requirements because Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination are automatically awarded an additional 600 CRS points. PNPs offer alternative pathways to permanent residence for Express Entry candidates who have a lower CRS score. The new draw brings the total number of ITAs issued in 2020 to 92,350. This year is shaping up to be a new record-breaking year for Express Entry, as the number of ITAs issued to date is the highest it has ever been. The large number of ITAs is in line with Canada’s commitment to welcome over 400,000 new immigrants in 2021, most of them coming through the Express Entry system. Permanent residence spots are still open for support workers. Canada is still accepting applications for permanent residence under the Home Support Worker Pilot. Want to Know if You are Eligible ~~~~~~ https://www.canada-direct.com/registration-page/ The Canadian government webpage says it has not reached the cap for the pilot. The webpage will be updated if and when the government closes the pilot to new applications in 2020.... Another pilot that was launched in tandem last summer, the Home Child Care Provider Pilot, has been filled. There were 2,750 applications submitted under this pilot. Applications will reopen on January 1, 2021. People who already submitted applications to either pilot do not need to contact the immigration department. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will send notification letters to applicants once processing begins. IRCC says it may take longer than usual to send the letter because of the coronavirus pandemic. These two five-year pilot programs let qualified caregivers and their family members come to Canada and apply for permanent residence. Foreign nationals who have been offered jobs as caregivers in Canada may be able to apply for immigration through one of these pilots. Want to Know if You are Eligible ********* https://www.canada-direct.com/registration-page/ The application process will be different for each applicant depending on their situation, and qualifying work experience. Qualifying work experience could mean having full-time work experience as either a child care provider or a home support worker. Experience as foster parents, or housekeepers does not count. How does the process work? People who already have at least 24 months of qualifying work experience may be eligible to apply for the pilot program that is relevant to their field. Applicants will need to provide proof that they have this work experience. As long as interested candidates meet other eligibility requirements, they may not need the full 24 months of work in order to apply. Interested candidates who want to work as home support workers in Canada can now apply, but those who want to work as child care providers must apply next year. Want to Know if You are Eligible ********* https://www.canada-direct.com/registration-page/ While applying, candidates must submit a work permit application along with the application for permanent residence. If candidates meet the requirements, they will receive a temporary work permit. This permit is an occupation- restricted open work permit, which allows holders to work as caregivers for any employer as long as they are not blacklisted by the government. Once candidates get the required 24 months of work experience, they can send in the proof of experience and Canada will make a final decision on their application.

Will Canada Change Immigration Processing in 2020? The IRCC resumes processing for all online applications for visitor visas, transit visas and electronic travel authorizations (eTAs). Immigration to Canada changed dramatically in March when borders everywhere closed down to stop the spread of COVID-19. Check eligibility https://bit.ly/3irQvXw ... Though some already have permission to enter Canada (temporary foreign workers and students), thousands of others, including refugees, remain abroad, still waiting for travel restrictions to lift. As Canadas government prepares for a significant rise in immigration applications after the Coronavirus pandemic, there is talk of plans to modernize the immigration system. How Canada Intends to Improve Application Processing The IRCC plans to have considerably different policies, procedures, and digital solutions in place to handle the post-pandemic spike in applications that is anticipated. Those in charge of Canadian immigration would like to use digital processing whenever possible in order to minimize the need for in-person or paper processes. This would lead to more efficient and quicker application processing while at the same time protect the safety of everyone involved. Check eligibility https://bit.ly/3irQvXw Canada Continues Welcoming Immigration in 2020 With the countrys Multi-Year Immigration Plan, Canada anticipates welcoming over one million immigrants in the next three years. Even as the spread of Covid-19 pandemic in Canada shows signs of slowing, the Canadian government is still working hard to accept and process most applications. These include Express Entry and PNP Draws, along with work and study permits and also family sponsorship applications. Before the pandemic hit, Canada was seeing record-breaking numbers of immigrants, foreign workers, and international students. By changing its processes through the use of new technology, the IRCC should be in a better position to accommodate even more foreign nationals once the Coronavirus pandemic is over. Ontario is going to open registration window for Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream. The OINP expects a significant number of people to access the system. Check your Eligibility ----- https://www.canada-direct.com/registration-page/... Ontario is set to open registration for the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream on October 21. Immigration candidates need a current job offer and an up-to-date Employer Form, in order to apply for this Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) expects a significant number of users to access the system. Due to the significant number of users expected to access the system, you may encounter a high-volume message page or be placed in a priority queue. If this occurs, it is not a technical error and you don’t need to contact the program, the OINP says in a media release. The system will automatically shut down once the threshold for registrants has been met. Typically, this happens within the same day as the stream opens. You need to submit the most recent version of the Employer Form, which must be completed and dated no earlier than October 21, 2020. Although the Employer Form indicates that it must be submitted within six months from the date of signing, the information contained in the Employer Form must be current. If you submit an Employer Form completed and dated before October 21, 2020, your application will return as incomplete. Your application will also be returned if you do not provide a current job offer. Check your Eligibility ----- https://www.canada-direct.com/registration-page/ If you successfully register, you will have 14 days to complete and submit the application. You can use this time to upload an up-to-date Employer Form. The OINP will not provide extensions to this 14-day period. The OINP has revised the Regulatory Compliance Information section B of the Employer Form to indicate whether the employer’s business is currently compliant under the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000 and the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. Employers should carefully review the information listed in the Employer Form, to ensure that all responses are accurate. This will help avoid delays in processing your application. All-time biggest quarter for Express Entry- 78,350 ITA issued so far, 2020 is a record-breaking year for the number of invitations to apply issued for Canadian immigration. ------- Check your eligibility -------- https://www.canada-direct.com/registration-page/ A record number of candidates were invited to apply for permanent residence through the Express Entry system this summer.... It seems that the pandemic has not stopped the sheer number of invitations being issued for candidates to apply for immigration. A total of 28,450 Express Entry candidates were issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in the third quarter of 2020. This is more ITAs than any previous quarter since the application management system launched in January, 2015. It also brings the number of ITAs issued this year to a record high of 78,350. Even in the second quarter of 2020 during the first wave of coronavirus, Canada still issued 27,300 ITAs, which hasn’t been seen in one quarter since Q4, 2018. Candidates in the Federal Skilled Worker Program, who had been completely left out in Q2, were finally included in the July 8th Express Entry draw. Since September 2nd, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has consistently held all-program draws, which do not discriminate by program type. ------- Check your eligibility -------- https://www.canada-direct.com/registration-page/ The month of August saw four different types of Express Entry draws. Following another all-program draw on August 5th, Canada also held a Federal Skilled Trades draw on August 6th, inviting immigration candidates with trades experience to apply for permanent residence. Then on August 19th, and 20th, Canada returned to its Q2 habit of holding Express Entry draws that were exclusive to Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Canadian Experience Class candidates. Though the largest Express Entry draw ever still goes to the February 19 invitation round where 4,500 candidates were invited, the past three draws in September have consistently invited 4,200 principal applicants. Applications through the Express Entry system take an average of six to eight months to process, so the number of people who actually get permanent residence from these draws won’t be seen until 2021. The number of permanent residents admitted to Canada in July was down 63 per cent compared with July, 2019, as a result of coronavirus restrictions and service disruptions. Canada adds another 246,000 jobs in August! More Canadians are returning back to work during the coronavirus pandemic. Canadas economic recovery is continuing. ~~~~~~~ Check eligibility https://bit.ly/3lOWffU Around 3 million jobs were lost following lockdowns introduced across Canada in March to contain the spread of the coronavirus. However, more people are now back to work. The results of the August Labour Force Survey released on Friday show that the recent easing of ...public health restrictions has meant more employment for Canadians in general and for immigrants in particular. In August, employment rose 1.4% for Canadians, rising to within 5.7% of pre-COVID levels. Meanwhile, employment for landed immigrants was up 1.6% while employment for recent immigrants was up 2.2%, an increase driven mainly by the reduction in the population of recent immigrants due to lower newcomer arrivals during the pandemic. ~~~~~~~ Check eligibility https://bit.ly/3lOWffU The vast majority of the employment gains were in full-time positions. Employment growth was concentrated in the services sector (+1.5%) as opposed to the goods producing sector. The services sector growth was concentrated in educational services, accommodation and food services, and the other services industry which includes hard-hit hair and beauty salons. The labor force participation rate for men is now within 0.2% of pre-covid levels while for women it is 1.3% below pre-covid levels an indication that many women are engaged in non-employment related activities such as child-care. Low-wage workers and youth have employment levels only 86.0% of February levels while other employees have nearly returned to pre-COVID levels (99.1% of February employment levels). This is entirely driven by the concentration of low-wage employment in hard-hit services-producing industries. As such, there remains plenty of room for improvement. Canada still needs to recover 1.1 million jobs that have been lost since the start of the pandemic. This new report, however, shows that Canadas economic recovery is moving in the right direction. Nearly 1.9 million jobs have been recovered in recent months. In addition to the 246,000 jobs created in August, another 419,000 were recovered in July, and 1.2 million were recovered in May and June. ~~~~~~~ Check eligibility https://bit.ly/3lOWffU See more

The 4,200 invitations to apply for permanent residence is the most issued in an Express Entry round since 4,500 were issued prior to the coronavirus pandemic during the February 19, 2020 invitation round. A total of 72 invitations were issued through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Tech Pilot on October 6. Candidates in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate subcategories in both the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration streams were invited in this latest invitation round. The minimum required score for applicants in both subcategories was 80, which represents no change in score from all other tech draws held since mid-June. British Columbia holds weekly Tech Pilot draws through which candidates with job offers in 29 eligible occupations are invited to apply for a provincial nomination. Launched in 2017, the purpose of the Tech Pilot is to help B.C.’s technology sector recruit IT workers to help address current labour market needs. ------- Check your eligibility : https://www.canada-direct.com/registration-page/ -------- In order to be considered eligible under the Tech Pilot, candidates need to be registered in one of B.C.’s existing provincial immigration streams and have a valid job offer of at least 12 months in one of the Tech Pilot’s eligible occupations. To apply for the Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC categories candidates must first create a profile through the BC PNP’s online portal and register under its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS-). Applicants are evaluated and issued a score based on factors such as level of education, work experience, proficiency in English and location of employment. If an applicant is approved, they can then use their provincial nomination to apply for permanent residence with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada under the Provincial Nominee Class. Express Entry candidates who receive a nomination from British Columbia will be given an additional 600 points toward their Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and are effectively guaranteed an Invitation To Apply (ITA) in a future federal Express Entry draw. B.C. holds draws through its various PNP categories and streams on a weekly basis. Last week, the province issued 450 provincial nomination invitations in its largest draw this year. Visitors can now apply for work permits from within Canada The new temporary policy will benefit temporary residents with job offers and Canadian employers, IRCC says. International visitors who are currently in Canada with a job offer can now apply for a work permit without having to leave the country. -------- Check eligibility bit.ly/2Q3OX9j ---------- The new policy goes into effect immediately, according to an Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) media re...lease. It will benefit temporary residents who are already in Canada with a job offer, but it does not apply to anyone arriving in Canada as a visitor after today, August 24. Visitors who meet the eligibility criteria are able to apply to the new temporary immigration policy, which includes Super Visa holders, business visitors, and people who came to Canada through a Global Skills Strategy work permit exemption. Before today, people applying for their work permits as temporary residents would usually need to apply for their initial work permits before coming to Canada. If they already had visitor status when they were approved for a work permit, they would need to leave the country and return in order to activate the permit. -------- Check eligibility bit.ly/2Q3OX9j ---------- The policy also benefits Canadian employers who are hiring foreign workers, some of whom have faced ongoing labour shortages throughout the pandemic. We have heard from employers who continue to face challenges recruiting and hiring the workers they need during the pandemic, Canadas immigration minister, Marco Mendicino, said in the release. This exemption from the normal temporary work permit requirements is aimed at removing barriers to create a more agile workforce that leverages visitors with the skills and experience to accelerate our economic recovery. Canada encouraged temporary residents who stayed in Canada to maintain legal status. Given that air travel has been restricted around the world, some visitors have been unable to leave, and some foreign workers had to change their status to visitor because their work permit was expiring and they werent able to apply for a new work permit because they didnt have a job offer. -------- Check eligibility bit.ly/2Q3OX9j ---------- Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria: valid status in Canada as a visitor on August 24, 2020, with the intention to stay in Canada; a job offer; an application for an employer-specific work permit supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) or an LMIA-exempt job offer submitted no later than March 31, 2021; and meet all other standard admissibility criteria. Applicants who meet all these criteria, and who had a valid work permit in the past 12 months, will be able to begin working for their new employer before their work permit has been fully approved. IRCC says work permit applicants can contact them via their web form to apply for work authorization while waiting on their new permits. See more

Though the total number of employees on payroll declined 1.8%, the average weekly earnings rose 2% to $1,139 in May. Average weekly earnings are calculated by dividing total weekly earnings by the number of employees. This gain was matched by a 2% decline in total hours worked in May compared to April. Between February and May there was a 16.9% loss in total hours worked. At the same time, average weekly hours increased slightly, bringing the average hours worked per week to just over 34. Job losses slowed in retail ------- Check eligibility bit.ly/2Q3OX9j ---------- Retail sales rose by 18.7% in May, though they are still 20% below the February level. The increase was partially seen in payroll employment.Month over month employment losses slowed. The total hours worked in the retail trade in May rose 2.6% compared to the month before. Certain retail industries saw payroll employment increases in May. Motor vehicle and parts dealers, and building material and garden equipment supply dealers saw about a 4% increase. Average weekly earnings in the retail trade sector were $676 in May, up 10.5% compared with the same time last year. Employment recovery in June The Labour Force Survey released in early July said that initial recovery in Canadian employment was sharper than previous economic downturns. The coronavirus lockdown caused employment to fall 15.7% in just two months. The 2008-2009 recession, by contrast, dropped 2.5% in nine months. ------- Check eligibility bit.ly/2Q3OX9j ---------- The easing of coronavirus restrictions in May and June brought the initial recovery of employment to 9.2% of Februarys levels. In previous economic deflations, recovery to pre-downturn employment has taken from two to five years. The labour force survey suggested that Canadas labour market recovery was well underway in all provinces and most sectors in June. Statistics Canadas Labour Force Survey for July is expected to be available next week. The employment and payroll hours survey for June is set to be released August 27, and will provide more insights on how COVID-19 has affected Canadian employment, earnings, and hours.

Express Entry: Canada invites 3,343 CEC candidates The July 23 draw had the lowest CRS requirement of the month Express Entry 157Canada held another Express Entry draw on July 23, the second invitation round held in two days. ... Invitations were issued to a total of 3,343 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. A Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 445 was enough to ensure an Invitation to Apply (ITA). Todays CRS cut-off score was 14 points higher than the previous CEC-specific draw on June 25, which had a CRS cut-off score of 431. The increase in points is due to more candidates being entered into the pool over the past month after Canada held an all-program draw on July 8. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has held these program-specific draws since the coronavirus pandemic caused Canadas border to close in March. They have all taken place shortly after Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)-specific draws, and the number of ITAs from the two draws combined add up to a round number. Yesterday, IRCC returned to program-specific draws with 557 PNP candidates receiving ITAs. Express Entry is a system that the federal government uses to manage applications for Canadas three main economic-class programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC) and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Some provinces also have provincial programs that are aligned with the Express Entry system. In the Express Entry system, candidates are ranked based on their CRS score that considers multiple factors including their age, work experience, education and proficiency in French or English. In some cases, the date and time at which the Express Entry profile was created is also a ranking factor. Todays draw saw the tie-break rule implemented. The tie-break rule is used to rank candidates who have the same CRS score (at the cut-off) based on the date and time the profile was created. The tie-breaking rule for todays draw was implemented for July 12, 2020 at 15:16:55 UTC. This means that candidates with a CRS score of 445 were only invited if their profile was submitted before this date and time. This draw brings the total number of invitations issued in 2020 to 57,700. Despite coronavirus, this number still exceeds the number of invitations issued at the same time last year and the year before. Candidates who wish to submit their Express Entry profile may still do so despite any coronavirus-related restrictions in place. IRCC continues to accept submissions to the Express Entry system.

Canadas economy creates almost 1 million jobs in June The unemployment rate continues to drop as record 953,000 people find jobs in June. July 11, 2020 Canada immigration levels May 2020 Express EntryLifting coronavirus-related lockdown restrictions around the country has sparked the beginning of Canadas economic recovery.... Many Canadians and permanent residents returned to work for their previous employers while others started new jobs. Between February and April, a total of 3 million people lost their jobs due to the lockdown, and another 2.5 million were absent from work due to coronavirus-related reasons, according to a Statistics Canada report published on Friday. May saw a slow start of economic recovery as 290,000 people returned to work. Building on this, the month of June helped alleviate low unemployment rates across the country as employment increased by a record 953,000 people. Find out if you are eligible for any Canadian immigration programs These last two months saw the labour market recover by a staggering 40% as over 1.24 million people gained employment. Canadas overall unemployment rate dropped from 13.7% in May to 12.3% in June. In addition, the report says that the labour force participation rate has increased substantially over the last two months up to 63.8% in June. In comparison, it was 65.5% in February, before coronavirus-related restrictions. The labour force participation rate is the percentage of the population, aged 15 or older, who are part of the labour force. This suggests that many people are now more optimistic about the potential of finding a job. The Canada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB) requirement to actively search for work may be another factor. The CESB was introduced to alleviate the financial struggles of students who may have been affected by the coronavirus-related restrictions Moreover, the number of people who work less than half of their usual hours also decreased in June to 26.9% down from 34.3%. Employment in Ontario increased by 378,000 (or 5.9%), Quebec by 248,000 (or 6.5%) and British Columbia by 118,000 (or 5.4%). The reopening of Canadas economy bodes well for Canadians and permanent residents. It should also instil confidence in future permanent residents, such as those currently overseas. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have returned to normal in terms of Express Entry draws. The latest draw held was an all-program draw. This means that candidates for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and the Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC) were also considered. Since the travel restrictions were put in place to slow the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, IRCC had been holding program-specific draws, alternating between Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draws. Canadas latest job statistics are good news for these immigrants since they can expect a stronger job market once they have obtained permanent residence.
