ALD Canada Hitter Profile Josh Fowler Junior Boys Division Josh has always been an active, never sit still kind of kid. When he was 5 years old, his grandmother... took him to an indoor driving range to give him something to do in the middle of winter. He took to it right away, with a borrowed club he hit ball after ball straight and long. The golf pro at the range approached them and stated That he has never seen anything like that before". He said that he wasn't saying it to make a profit but that Josh needed to get a golf coach right away. This golf pro taught Josh for the next 4 years (until we moved) without charging us a dime because he believed in his talent. needed to get a golf coach right away. This golf pro taught Josh for the next 4 years (until we moved) without charging us a dime because he believed in his talent. The best part of Josh's game has always been the distance he can hit. From the beginning every time he went to the driving range crowds of golfers would stop and come to watch him, asking him how old he was in amazement. For the majority of the golf tournaments he has entered, if there was a long drive hole, Joshua has won it. Josh got two holes in one the summer of 2015, when he was 13. The first being on a par 3, 194-yard drive, hit with a hybrid. Golf Coach: Diane Demick is Josh's golf coach. At this time he doesn't have a home course but he does appreciate Big Bay Point Golf and Country Club, Brooklea Golf Club and Bonaire Golf Club for allowing him to hone his skills at their facilities. Hobbies & Aspirations: Joshua is a typical Canadian teenage boy, his passions are hockey and video games. Josh has been able to give back to the community using his golfing talent. He has been involved with three different charities and the beat the pro hole at various fundraising tournaments. various fundraising tournaments. Josh’s goal is to play golf for a college or university team.
