The Canadian Club is a community-based organization that arranges monthly lunch meetings at which distinguished speakers address subjects of national or international significance. To join the Canadian Club, call 613 530-2704. This months lunch will be held at The Cataraqui Golf and Country Club, 961 King Street West, Kingston on Thurs., Mar. 12. It starts with a cash bar at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch at 12 noon. Non- members are welcome. Cost of the lunch is $30 for members and $38 for non-members. Topic: Lessons from the Canadian Federal Election - What Just Happened? Dr. Jonathan Rose has taught at Queen's, the International Studies Centre (Herstmonceux, UK), Charles University in Prague, and Kwansei Gakuin in Osaka, Japan, as Visiting Professor of Canadian Studies. In 2008, he was a Visiting Research Fellow in the School of Political Science and International Relations at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. His teaching is varied. He has taught graduate a...nd undergraduate courses in Canadian politics, political communication, federalism, the mass media, electoral systems, intergovernmental relations and public policy.
