Canadian Crunch Elite

Despite the hard loss of the previous Crunch game, captain and leader Nathan Goddard was awarded the prestigious player of the game award. Nathan was rewarded for his valiant effort netting 3 goals (adding another hat-trick to his tally) trying to give the Crunch the spark they needed for a comeback. Come out next game where you will see your very own captain sporting some retro looking green and orange socks weaving through players on the ice! Meet Your Crunch Team This week we talked to David Johnston and followed him around to see what he did on his day off. Things you might not know about David is other then being a professional goalie, hes also a full time fitness model and IFBB pro. He has been working out professionally for 5 years now, and we were lucky enough to catch him winning his 4th straight strongman championship in the "Natural Aesthetics" competition. Congratulations David on retaining your title, keep up the good work!

Just to update the Crunch fans, forward Chris Arnts has returned home and will not be going on the upcoming road trip with the Crunch. What previously was stated as an "upper body injury" has now been confirmed as a dislocated shoulder. He spent the night in the hospital but has had his shoulder put back in the socket and is on the road to recovery. Estimated time until return is about 4-6 weeks. For the rest of the season the crunch will be giving out a prestigious award to the player of the game. With winning this award they will be rewarded with the MVP pink socks for the following week, be sure to tune in or get tickets to see who was MVP last week. Will it be 4 goals against 28 save David Johnston? What about 8 hits 4 penalty minutes, 1 Assist Kurtis Knutson. Rumor has it that Bradley Ioannidis has been checking himself out wearing pink this week, I dont know if that has any effect on this weekend, I guess you are going to have to show up to find out fans! Hey fans, here's a little something interesting about our history. We were doing some digging through the old crunch records and found the first team logo made 3 years after this fine organization was established. It was the logo from 1920 to mid 1930s from what we can tell. In this time, the crunch's early dominance was seen with 9 championships wins within the time span!
