Canadian Fibre Mill

My grandfather worked for the Canadian Cooperative Wool Growers in the 1940’s as a supervisor. These pics are in the Weston, Ontario location from that time. I always wonder if he is in one of these photos. Sadly, he’s no longer with us, so I have no way of knowing. Pics courtesy of the CCWG.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Reminiscing today about attending the Manitoba Fibre Festival each year usually held this weekend in September. This Wool Judging Certification Course was offered prior to the Manitoba Fibre Festival at the Red River Exhibition Place. Class instructors were Susie Gourlay, Val Fiddler and Jerry Oliver and they offer an excellent educational, informative and very enjoyable course. This pic is the class of 2017/ 2018 receiving our certificates. Hopefully, another course will be offered in 2021.
