Beautiful #CanadianFilm we had the pleasure to see at the Kingston Canadian Film Festival the well directed and beautifully acted drama An Audience of Chairs DIRECTOR: Deanne Foley Featuring: Carolina Bartczak, Peter MacNeill, Gord Rand... Story: A lovely adaptation of the novel by St. John’s-based writer Joan Clark, AN AUDIENCE OF CHAIRS tells the wrenching story of Maura (Carolina Bartczak), a woman whose struggle with bipolar disorder takes a terrible toll on her career as a concert pianist and on her life as a mother. Yet as dark as this drama may sometimes be, this third feature by Newfoundland’s Deanne Foley the winner of four major awards at the Atlantic International Film Festival last fall is continually brightened by moments of grace as well.
