A meta analysis of 25 placebo-controlled trials provides moderate quality evidence that epidural corticosteroid injections are effective, though the effects are small and short term. This review was performed by the Cochrane Collaboration, which provides the highest level of evidence (level 1) to guide clinicians. All epidural injections at CPRI are performed under X-Ray (fluoroscopy) guidance to maximize safety and potential benefit. https://journals.lww.com//Epidural_corticosteroid_injectio
