Would you buy an expensive product/solution without local engagement and support? You're about to purchase a solution for your company with long term implications (revenue upside, cost reduction) and you have to choose a vendor that can follow through and deliver short and long term. Do you "seriously" consider a "hit and run" sales pitch? A company that can/will easily orphan your purchase within a year or so? It's not a "nobody gets fired for buying IBM" point I am making ...here, it's that quick propositions without underlying engagement/relationships will not win the day. Spending millions takes time, the proper sales process does also. A brilliant product and a great price with a willing customer takes time to navigate, significantly more than a great idea. Like "Bru" below he chose (reluctantly) a Vet that supports him 90 KM /1.5 Hours from home... because he can.
