Canadian Ski Patrol

To my fellow Canadian Ski Patrollers. (un message en français est ci-dessous) I’m making it official on my part, I’m running for the Board of Directors in June.... Rebuilding trust and improving the patroller experience from registration to deployment are two areas I hope to concentrate on. I’ve been a patroller for 10 years but being on the board for me, is not about having paid my dues within our organization. It’s about what I bring to the table as a businessman and marketer that can help provide focus, strategic direction and inspirational leadership. I’m fortunate to travel across the country a few times a year and I’m able to experience a glimpse of patrol life in other Zones and Divisions. There are 4347 patrollers across Canada. Each of you has a personal why for patrolling. Individually our whys are strong but collectively our whys are a force to be reckoned with. Will you partner with me to help us find and focus our collective why? I look forward to the challenge. I’ve attached my backgrounder and feel free to reach out anytime. Feel free to share this post. Je voudrais profiter de la présente officialiser mon désir de poser ma candidature pour un poste au conseil d’administration en juin prochain. Le rétablissement d’une confiance entre les membres et la gestion ainsi que l’amélioration de l’expérience des patrouilleurs, de l’enregistrement au déploiement; sont les deux domaines sur lesquels je souhaite principalement me concentrer. Je suis patrouilleur depuis 10 ans. Siéger au conseil d’administration pour moi, n’est pas une façon pour moi de payer une dette envers notre organisation. Mais plutôt de ce que je peux apporter avec mon expérience comme homme d’affaires et comme spécialiste marketing en apportant une orientation stratégique et un leadership inspirant. J’ai la chance de voyager à travers le pays quelques fois par année et j’ai eu la chance d’avoir vu un aperçu de la vie des patrouilleurs dans d’autres zones et divisions. Il y a 4347 patrouilleurs au Canada. Chacun d’entre vous a son propre pourquoi pour patrouiller. Individuellement, nos pourquoi sont forts, mais collectivement, nos pourquoi créent une force avec laquelle il faut compter.
