The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot is a community-driven program. It’s designed to spread the benefits of economic immigration to smaller communities by creating a path to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers who want to work and live in one of the 11 participating communities. This is a great option for those who are not able to secure the required minimum points under Express Entry! Some of these communities have available jobs listed, but for others you may have to secure a valid job offer prior to applying under the RNIP program. After 8 months of the citizenship tests getting cancelled, Canada is finally resuming them online Those whose tests were cancelled and those who are on the waiting list will take them first while IRCC tests out this new platform. Keep an eye out on your inbox for that email. If you used a representative, IRCC will contact that representative by email

If your CRS score is below the current minimum but still above 400, then you should consider entering the pool! You have a chance of getting nominated by provinces, such as New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Alberta, and Ontario who invite certain applicants to apply with different NOC codes. And while you’re in the pool you can always update your profile and your score, thereby increasing your chances of receiving an ITA....
